YOUTH BASKETBALL
The Spring 2025 Recreational Youth Basketball League is back and better than ever! Running from April 1st to May 10th, this league is the perfect opportunity for young athletes in grades 1st-9th to stay active and get more time on the hardwood. Girls and boys are all invited to join and experience the joy of team sports. Games will be held at various locations throughout the stunning City of Byram, providing a chance for players to explore and enjoy their community. With two games per week for a total of 5 weeks, players will have plenty of opportunities to showcase their skills and develop their teamwork.
The regular season will be followed by playoff week with trophies awarded to the 1st and 2nd place teams of each division, there's always something to strive for and celebrate. Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity for your child to be part of a supportive and active community.
Each athlete will receive:
- A reversible top, complete with matching shorts.
- 2-games per week, for 5 weeks + playoff week.
Registration will begin February 1st, 2025 and will close on March 1st, 2025.

- 7v7 puts more focus on the skilled positions at an earlier age, greatly improving the QB & Wide Reciever positions.
- QB's and WR's start building cognitive decision making skills at an early age by learning how to read defensive matchups and making adjustments at the snap.
- Due to there being NO TACKLING, 7v7 is safer for the athletes by a tremendous margin.
- Multiple 7v7 games can be played in a single day/night due to the short game times and the decreased physicallity.
- Athletes get increased playing time due to the smaller rosters (10-12 players)
- 7v7 is less costly on parents because there is little to no equipment to buy to participate.
